Dear all,
Sorry, I gotta keep it relatively brief this week, going out to explore the Nyíregyháza lands this week buuuuuut:
1.) This week we had zone conference in Buuuuuuda! In a continued effort in our campaign for Classiest Zone Award, we showed up in red and black. East zone represent!
It was really good, though, it was nice to get another training from Elder Blake (he was my district leader in Szombathely and is now my zone leader), his trainings always take me back to the Szombathely days---and Sister Dohm is serving up in Buda right now, so at the end of the conference we had kind of a mini reunion of our old district!
2.) Got a package from the Primary this week and it absolutely, positively made my life. I attached my favorite letter (the one that got the most laughs)---though there were many prime candidates. I was thoroughly impressed by their Hungarians skills---Manchester Primary is the best! :) #proudgraduate
3.) Since we were already up in Buda, we got spoiled and got to go split with STLs again for the transfer, but this time in their area---I seriously love those two so much.
4.) Last week of the transfer this week (meaning I'll be emailing on Tuesday next week). I have mixed feelings. I've fallen so in love with it all that change kind of scares me, if I'm going to be raw and real with you all. Sometimes I feel like I'm dying with the seasons, as the winter approaches and the number of transfers left ticks down with it (this is my last full one)---but then I realize that's not true at all. I'm only just warming up. So I guess that was a round-about way of saying I'm most definitely excited--because this upcoming transfer I cannot wait to give it my all. Though I know this will make my mother groan, I want to express my feelings by referencing FDR and say, "there is nothing to fear, but fear itself." Bring it, transfers. ;)
5.) Anyway, with General Conference coming up I want to buzdítani titeket ("to encourage you all" not to be confused with pusztítani titeket, which happens to mean "to destroy you all";) to watch it and go with your questions. Some of the most spiritual experiences I've had have come from pondering the words of modern-day prophets. Conference is really one of the blessings I've received the most happiness from in sharing with my investigators, modern-day guidance is kind of mind blowing.
I was really sad to hear about the passing of Elder Richard G. Scott, the only apostle I got to see when I was in the MTC, especially so close to Conference, but I'm really glad he's with his Jeanene again. Really, really glad.
Happy Conference weekend! Love ya'll!
