Dear all,
Hey, guys! Another week come and gone--what is this craziness? I'll have to keep it brief today because we have a jam-packed PDay planned but here are some basics:
1.) We volunteer weekly at an autism center here in Szombathely. One of the things we do is practice speaking English with English-learning residents and it's CRAZY. Some of them have literally memorized the English dictionary in their spare time and speak ridiculously fluently--I was super impressed.
2.) We had a little csoda this week! Once upon a time while I was still in the Csaba lands, my companion, Sister Dohm, was riding the train back from Budapest to Szombathely. She saw this man on the train who was super happy and she really wanted to talk to--but she didn't get the chance. Lo and behold, we go street-contacting and BOOM! Found him. He set up to meet with us the next day. BAM! MIRACLES!
3.) Dohm Nővér's calling in the branch is as primary pianist. Does this mean I get to sit in and learn the primary songs in Hungarian all second hour? Az biztos! I love it all too much :)
4.) Hungarians have a huge fear of the cold---they super hate it and think it makes you infertile (for real) so that means that there is NO ICE CREAM in the winter! Super sad! But finally, this week, the ice cream stands started popping up LIKE DAISIES (Mulan quote---anyone? Anyone? ;) all over the place because of the warm weather! Can I gedda hallelujah?? Haha one of our investigators even owns one! Whoop whoop! Best. Thing. Ever.
Anyways, I love you all and want you to know I keep you in my prayers--whether you're at home, at school, or in the field with me. Let's rock this week together, shall we? ;)
Tudom hogy a Mormon könyve igaz!
