Dear all,
Every week I think I'll stop liking Nyíregyháza as much and it'll just be normal---but instead every week I just love it more, this area is the best.
Anywho, this week:
1.) Was Sister Jeppson's birthday, so since our Elders are awesome they decided to leave a surprise outside our door in the morning for when we went out. This required them to have the keys, which required me to give them the keys, which required me to jump through a window because the door to our balcony was in the same room my companion was studying in. So I could throw the keys down to the Elder. It was kind of loud so Jeppson Nővér was like: "Sister Carle, what was that??" And I was like...."....the neighbors?" Haha it ended up totally successful, though, so it was all good (photo enclosed ;)
2.) We had a lesson waayy out in the middle of nowhere and we got carried away talking and didn't keep close enough track of the time and we ended up having to literally sprint to catch the bus. And I only had one shoe on the whole way. I don't know who found it funnier: the member, my companion, or the bus-driver ;)
3.) We visited so many people this week it was crazy! It was insssaaannely hot--the Hungarians keep telling us this summer has been record-breaking for heat. Despite that, we've been having a blast. We went and visited our super-classy branch mission leader this week and they showed us a bunch of cool old branch photos and he let me look at his first copy of the Book of Mormon from fifteen years ago---with his sister missionary's testimony still written inside. Made me super, super happy. Reminds me of the ability I have to make a difference.
4.) We visited a less-active whose sister came to visit from Romania and made us a fancy traditional Romanian lunch, and I impressed her with my weak two Romanian phrases I learned from an investigator in Békéscsaba. She's taking lessons from the Elders in Romania--so it was really cool to be the first to actually teach her in her first language; Hungarian.
5.) I'm doing super, super good--headed to Miskolc and Buda this next week, and there's going to be the Hungarian equivalent of Independence Day this upcoming Thursday as well. I only occasionally feel like I'm losing it---I couldn't remember how to say "praline" earlier this week haha #thestruggleisreal
But honestly, in short, this week I really remembered how much God loves His children. I've grown to see that as I've loved the people here so, so, so much. They struggle a lot---but when they love, they love heart first and all-in and I can't help but love them back.
Love you all, and you should write me! Seriously! It would be much appreciated!
Tudom hogy a Mormon könyve igaz!
Szeretet mindig,
Carle Nővér

Sorry, I've been super bad at taking pictures recently---here's a picture of me and my companion when it was blazing hot outside and we trekked all the way over to the branch house and we totally got dogged and took about 20 sad selfies. Sister missionaries, man. Hahaha love ya'll have awesome weeks xoxo :)
